Ways of working

Three settings, one way of working.

Consulting room, retreat, training group.
The same attention to experience as it unfolds.

The approach

Thought and conversation have their place. So do sensation, emotion and movement.

In therapy as in training, I work with what is present: sensation, emotion, movement and the contact between us, as much as thought and speech. The approach comes from Gestalt therapy and forty years of somatic practice, extended in recent years to psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy.

Psychotherapy

Individual, couple and group psychotherapy. Trauma, relationships and sexuality, chronic pain and the body are the main areas of my practice.

Discuss psychotherapy

Based in Montréal, I work in French and English. When you write, please say whether you are seeking individual or couple psychotherapy, and whether you are looking for in-person or remote work. We can clarify availability and suitable arrangements in our first exchange.

Professional training

Training for practitioners in psychosomatic psychotherapy, also called body psychotherapy or somatic therapy, and in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy: experiential in method, explicit about competence, ethics and scope of practice.

Experiential retreats

Several days of sustained work in a small group, away from the consulting room, with the body and the natural setting as part of the frame.
